A great site covering all aspects of Yamaha kit is at : yamahamusicians.com/forum/index.php. JohnG. The site is renamed YamahaMusicians dot com. It actually now covers all sorts of keyboards, not just Yamaha, as well as guitars. Very well worth a visit.

Thanks John for that introduction. The Site was originally formed by our <admin> Saul to maintain his Sy-85 Synth. In the ensuing years it has ballooned considerably and now covers quite an array of Synthesizers and Keyboards - and not only Yamaha. Most of the big names are there - and some of the littler ones . . . . . There is also a sizeable guitar-oriented membership too. Much of our activity concerns user repairs to older synths - with advice on fixing the aging disk drives on some of these boards. One of our forum members has even "re-manufactured" some of the memory expansion modules that fit these older boards, and made them available for sensible money - far below the original price, back in the day, so you can give an old synth a new lease of life. There is an active <user download> section where much PD material is available, from "How-to" docs, take-aparts and Voice banks for various Synths. Do stop by and have a look. You'll be amongst like-minded people for sure. Best Regards parametric <global moderator> Yamaha Forums UK yamahamusicians.com/forum/index.php
