Hi, My day job is developing finite-element software for electromagnetic fields. The software is mature and the catalog is complete, so I am working on MIDI software to keep the brain cells working. In many ways, it's more difficult because the programs must coordinate with an unpredictable live performer. My company website is www.kbd-infinity.com. My premier program to date is the Accompaniment Machine ( AMac), a performance enhancer for digital keyboards. I also created MIDI Microscope, which displays a linked view of the binary content of MIDI files with a text display of commands. I use the Yamaha PSR E423 (which I like very much) and the Yamaha DGX640 (which disappointed me). I build my programs with Xojo, so I can generate executable programs for Windows, Linux and Apple. Hi Stan, Welcome to the forum, and thanks for your introduction. As you can see, most people don't take the time, unfortunately. Although I can quite understand you wanting to advertise your products, thanks for not making your intro an out and out advertisement. I did take the time to visit your web site following your application for membership and wondered whether or not we'd be plagued by spam. I like to give people the benefit the doubt, so I'm most grateful that you didn't do that. There is a section lower down on the board called "Web sites of interest" and you can place a description of the software you have created there if you wish. Just what it does and who it's targeted at would be good, followed by a link to your site. You'll see the kind of format adopted there. Feel free to put a bit more than some I've added, which are brief in the extreme I admit. I don't own a PSR keyboard myself, but an older Yamaha Synth called an AN1x. You may be aware of quite a few possibly similar programs being available via the PSR tutorials web site and forum, and also via jososoft.dk on Joergens site, 'the unofficial Yamaha keyboard resource'. They're both worth a visit and listed in the section just mentioned. Good luck with the software. Kind regards, JohnG.

Stan, Does MIDI Microscope run on Windows 8 or 10? I have been looking for something like this for a while and the ones I have found are not compatible. I have some source code but I don't want to start another lengthy project. -Mike

Mike, I think you may have to mail him directly (if his mail address is there), he hasn't been on line since Feb 21 2014!
Regards, JohnG.
